Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Community Resource Service. Volunteers are a vital part of our organization, and we are happy that you have an interest in joining us.

Lending a Hand
There are many ways in which you can help at Community Resource Service.

The Food Bank is always looking for assistance and at Christmas, we can use a hand with our Christmas Baskets Program. Fundraising activities and our general office can also use your help!

If you are a student under the age of 16, or are interested in bringing your children in to volunteer, please contact us for further information.

We are currently accepting individual volunteer applications. We will be contacting all applicants within that month, to schedule interviews.

Food Bank
Sorting food, warehouse assistance, volunteer intake and handing out food to those in need. Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Contact us for more information.

Fundraising
Join a committee, assist with a specific event or help us contact and thank our donors. Contact us for more information.

Administration
Help us keep in touch with those needing our help. Reception assistance and general office support would truly help us out. Contact us for more information.

Christmas Baskets
Mother's helpers, toy sorting, toy cleaning, food warehouse assistance, donation pickups, pre-pack and delivery day assistance. Available October through mid-January.

Becoming a Volunteer
Please note that there is a process involved in becoming a volunteer at Community Resource Service, which can take from three to five weeks. This includes reviewing your application, conducting an interview, reviewing references and providing you with an orientation. You will also be required to attend CRS Health & Safety training and submit a Criminal Record Check. The length of time varies depending on the season and the number of applications that are submitted. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this process and are confident that, once on board, you will have a fulfilling volunteer experience with us.
