Food Bank & Distribution
  • Approximately 1,250 households utilize the Food Bank each month. This represents almost 3,500 individuals.
  • A research study, commissioned by the Canadian Association of Food Banks, indicates that 41% of Canadians surveyed said that they knew someone personally who required the assistance of a Food Bank.
  • Each year, close to 650,000 pounds of food reach individuals and families within Brantford and Brant County.
  • 38% of our Emergency Food Bank recipients are children.
  • We support not only people using our Food Bank, but also 22 community food programs that provide meals to the needy and homeless within our community.

Advocacy
  • Each year, the Advocacy program successfully secures more than one million dollars in lost benefits for individuals.
  • Our Advocate provides extensive preparation, support and representation for clients who have been denied benefits – including attendance at Tribunal hearings.

Christmas Baskets
  • Each year, more than 2,600 Christmas Hampers are provided to families and individuals in Brantford, Brant County and Six Nations.
  • More than 2,700 children received a toy last Christmas.
  • Toys for ages 11-14 are needed most.

Employment
  • We successfully find employment for 89% of our Employment Services program participants.
  • A total in excess of 2,500 people visit our Resource Areas each year.
  • Employers indicate a 100% satisfaction rate with our services.
